Herbert Marcuse Archive

The Herbert Marcuse Association is a loose network of individuals who think that Marcuse's works are still very important today. One of our aims is to contribute to an actualization of Critical Theories in a changing capitalist world - we speak of an information-societal capitalism - that confronts us with massive changes in the conditions for producing and publishing critical knowledge.

By maintaining the Herbert Marcuse Archive, we want to make some primary Marucse-works as well as works on the topicality of Marcuse's thinking easily accessible.

As a further activity we publish books on the thinking of Herbert Marcuse, Critical Theory today, Information-Societal Capitalism etc.
